October 05, 2010 @ 02:39 PM — by David Smirga, M.A.

Dizziness or vertigo can be described as a feeling of lightheadedness, giddiness, spinning, or unsteadiness. Seventy percent of Americans experience dizziness at some point in their lives. Fifty to sixty percent of balance and dizziness problems in the elderly are related to inner ear disorders. Dizziness and vertigo are diagnosed by series of tests called an ENG or VNG. AuDNet audiologists are professionals trained to diagnose and treat dizziness and balance disorders.
