Health Tip: Is earwax a problem?

October 26, 2010 @ 06:00 PM — by Rebekah Iliff

The average person cleans the outer part of their ears with cotton swabs as if its apart of their daily hygiene routine. Normally earwax is not a problem. It serves to protect the skin of the ear canal, assists in cleaning and lubrication, and also provides some protection against dirt and other foreign particles. It may not cause any medical issue and doesn't always have to be removed, unless there is pain and discomfort.
