Hearing aid marketing campaign becomes highly controversial

Since Congress passed its Government Economic Stimulus last year, one strange marketing campaign has come about. Hearing Solutions of America developed a controversial marketing campaign of mailings to potential hearing aid customers.

So what makes this so controversial? On the outside of the letters was the statement  “stimulus packet information enclosed” while the return address said “Hearing Stimulus Package.” This is incredibly misleading because the government stimulus plan has absolutely nothing to do with hearing aids.

Though the enclosed letter states that it has nothing to do with the government, it is not fair for people who are in need of hearing aids, they can already find the whole process of hearing aids complicated. This only confuses people searching for a hearing aid and being able to trust hearing aid providers.
