The hearing impaired community is given news with Deaf Nation

A new app that I discovered this week is called Deaf Nation. Deaf Nation lets users keep up on the trends in deaf news - it covers the Deaflympics and World Deaf Basketball Championships, along with anything and everything that is related to hearing loss.

Deaf Nation also provides entertainment, including a show called “No Barriers” with Josh Barish. Barish takes viewers on a journey around the world with sign language as the key ingredient.

It is a remarkable step in the hearing impaired community because they are now able to have a one-stop source that’s easily accessible for relatable news. It is a way of helping bring a community together that sometimes feels alone in their struggle with hearing loss.
